The fourteenth annual NC Club Teams tournament is underway in beautiful Linville. After three days of play we are down to the finalists in three of the four flights, with Championship Flight still at the semi-final stage.

Third Flight

The final will be a rematch of the 2008 Third Flight final: the grandfather/grandson team of Casper and Matthew Essick will again take on fellow Meadows Mallet Club members and defending champions Brett Malloy and Jake Henderson.

Second Flight

Defending Second Flight champion Marc “Soup” Campbell, now partnered with Tom Yates (Meadows Mallet Club), will play Bill and Judith Cooley from the local High Country Croquet Club.

First Flight

Yet another Meadows Mallet Club pair, Becky Essick and Jeff Brinkley, the latter the defending First Flight champion, take on the Pinehurst pair of Russ Hanson and Bob Sasser.

Championship Flight

Meadows Mallet Club have a pair in each semi-final. Top seeds after block play, Ed Roberts and Jon Essick meet Stoneridge Croquet Club pair Jeff Soo and Frank Thompson, while Danny Huneycutt and Tommy Harrington play locals David Maloof and Bill Denton, NC Club Teams champions from 2006.
