With about twelve hours of play, we have finished four of seven block rounds. Rothman and Soo in Block A, and Huneycutt, Cumming, and Lawrence in Block B, are undefeated on 4/4. Four players advance from each block, so these five have all but guaranteed spots in the knockout. Mike Taylor, on 3/4, is also in good shape.

Three sextuples and a quintuple today. Huneycutt used the “proper” leave to set for his sextuple; Rothman did not disdain the “ladies” leave for his two. The quintuple? Ask Ben.

Conditions highly variable from court to court. Court 4 is the general favorite, and court 1 plays nearly as well, except for a few boundaries. 2 and 3, though improving, are more variably paced due to recent heavy topdressing, and have some tough boundaries.
