Forty-one students and six top-ranked instructors met at Pinehurst over the March 3–4 weekend for NC District’s latest Association Croquet clinics.

Ron Lloyd, Pinehurst croquet pro, led a group of junior players from Bill Hartmann’s Gamewell Middle School program. After a day of instruction, Lloyd organized an informal mini-tournament for the group, complete with trophies.

Danny Huneycutt’s class included several players from a new club on Daniel Island in South Carolina. They weren’t the only players to travel from out of state. David Lyon, an up-and-coming player, drove all the way from Pennsylvania to attend the clinic.

Jeff Soo, Andy Short, Paul Scott, and Bob Cherry led their groups through intensive sessions on tactics, rules, and break organization.
