At the upcoming President’s Match, the United States will be represented by an all-NC team: Bill Berne, Mack Penwell (playing captain), Ed Roberts, Paul Scott, Andy Short and Jeff Soo.

The President’s Match is an annual contest between the US and Great Britain, a one-day American-rules test match played in conjunction with the international-rules Solomon Trophy match. This year the events will take place at the National Croquet Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. The Solomon Trophy is October 9-12 and the President’s Match is October 13.

The Great Britain team for both events is Mark Avery, Matthew Burrow, Phil Cordingley, Jeff Dawson, Colin Irwin and David Openshaw (playing captain). The United States Solomon Trophy team is Bob Cherry, Curtis Drake, Erv Peterson, Ken Rosenberry, Jeff Soo and Jerry Stark (playing captain).
