“International Rules Nationals” to return to NC
Posted 27 February 2004 to Regional & National, Tournaments by Jeff SooThe USCA International Rules Championships, the USCA’s national championships of Association Croquet, will be held in North Carolina for the third time in a ten-year span. This time the tournament will take place in the beautiful high mountain setting of Linville.
Interest in Association Croquet continues to rise in the area, as shown by the strong entry to both divisions of the North Carolina Open. The USCA International Rules Championships will offer a three-day First Flight, followed by Championship Flight in its standard six-day format.
Linville locals are looking forward to hosting a national championship tournament for the first time, and for the opportunity to watch top-level play. Players can look forward to pleasant summer weather, excellent courts and facilities, and a stunning mountain backdrop.
