More Laurels for Cherry

Bob Cherry (Pinehurst) has won the USCA Player of the Year award for 2004. The award is given to the highest scorer in the USCA’s Grand Prix contest. Cherry won the award by notching high finishes at several very strong tournaments, capped by winning the singles title at the USCA International Rules National Championships.

This is the third time in five years that a North Carolina player has won this award, Jeff Soo having won it in 2000 and 2002.
