Still another new feature for the 2004 season is the inaugural interstate challenge match between North Carolina and Eastern Canada, March 29–31 at Pinehurst. This Association Croquet (i.e. “International Rules”) “test match” will occur during the three days that separate the two divisions of the NC Open, allowing the visiting players to also play in the appropriate flight of the Open. Eastern Canada will send a team of eight players in two flights, and NC will field a similar team.
