Bill Hartmann’s croquet program at the Gamewell Middle School is off to a strong start, thanks in part to help from two croquet mallet makers. Ed Roberts, maker of the popular “Attack Croquet” series of high-end mallets, has helped provide the program with mallets and indoor wickets. Don Oakley, owner of Canada’s Oakley Woods Croquet, also stepped up to help provide outdoor wickets and clips.
