By reaching the doubles final at the 2005 USCA International Rules National Championships, Paul Scott (Raleigh) and Jeff Soo (Chapel Hill) have extended their streak of national doubles finals to seven. Since first joining forces in 1999, Scott and Soo have reached the final of every national doubles event they have entered, winning five times.

But they had to settle for second place in Kirkland, losing in two games to Curtis Drake and Jerry Stark. Scott also came second in the singles. So this is the first time since 2000 that neither Scott nor Soo is a current national titlist. The pair will try again at the USCA Nationals in November.
